| last friday, i had a optometrist appointment during the middle
of the day. unfortunately i had to get my eyes dilated and it
made my eyes bloodshot red. i then went home to change out
out of my clothes and i went to heather's
school to help her around her classroom and put up a few things.
school was out and i had to get heather to open the door for
me. after she opened the door, she had to get mouse traps from her
janitor. so i stood there in front of the school office and two teachers were
with me. one i knew, ms. namita ruiz, the other was heather's new counterpart, ms. detoc(sp?).
a little background on ms. detoc, she's a little out there.
so heather was off getting the mouse trap and i said hi to ms. ruiz.
she then was introducing me to ms. detoc. here's our conversation:
ms. ruiz: ms. detoc, have you met newt?
ms. detoc: no i haven't
ms. ruiz: well, this is newt, heather's ....
ms. detoc: old student? nice to meet you
me and ms. ruiz look at each other
ms. ruiz: no, it's heather's husband
ms. detoc had no sign of embarassment
after a few minutes, heather comes back and ms. detoc leaves.
namita and myself tell heather the story and she does her :
OHMYGOOOOOOODNESS!!! she says its so embarassing.
i don't think so, it's a complement. but heather says yes it is and it's
because of the way i dressed, tshirt, shorts, hat and jordans plus
bloodshot eyes. i say it's no because i got facial hair and i'm taller
and it's a compliment because i got called younger than i am.
we even took pictures that nite to see who was right.
what do you think? it's IBM's you make the call! (that's from the early
90's from football for those of you who don't know)
